Revitalize your Practice
and Reduce your Financial Stress
by Joining a Unified Front for Healing

Calling all healers! Come together and support each other. We are all guided by the light to believe and work with the energies of abundance; so, why are dogmatically steering clients to our own specific treatments or therapies and away from other healers? Why do we endorse one style of healing or yoga and say that another is less effective or not true? This fear-based approach does not allow for the healing process to unfold.  Conflicting approaches to what is right and wrong drive perspective clients away from the services we offer and we cannot hold onto clients without love.  Love is the affinity that pulls us all together.
What makes western medicine so powerful? Doctors, nurses, pharmaceuticals and insurance all speak the same language. They refer out, knowing that they keep their patients in the industry. With all the sickness and pain, there’s enough to go around and this is one of, if not the most prosperous industries in the world. We all know that alternative and complimentary care, like massage, Reiki, yoga, acupuncture, etc. are extremely effective in not only facilitating the release of pain and stress, but our industry promotes real states of health, immunity, harmony and joy. Our modalities are miraculously effective! So why are we denying ourselves true and amazing states of prosperity? Because we hesitate in working together as a unified front. What we need in our industry is unity and our unity must be based on a system of truth. We can learn how to communicate with our clients and our prospects in a way that will resonate with them, and gain their loyalty. We can create a more solid and trusting community and as a community, we can learn to speak the same language, and use a similar approach in guiding clients.
At this point in the emergence of the wellness industry, client retention within our industry holds great value for us all. Alternative practices will increase in their efficacy as clients who are successfully heard and directed to modalities that resonate with their personal journeys experience results. Results spread the word. And if it was Tammy, the LMT in Albany who helped to resolve back pain for Sue, the massage therapy industry, as a whole, benefits from the good press. And if Tammy refers Sue to yoga therapy in the style of Ashtangi and Sue, not connecting with Ashtangi yoga, is referred to Vinyasa, the important thing is that she stays with yoga. It is likely that the introduction of Ashtangi was serendipitous and Sue returns to Ashtangi when her pain is resolved and she moves into a phase of building strength, endurance and power. The most powerful component is that Sue is a believer in wellness practices and from her platform of belief can guide many to the industry.
It is important that the language we speak and the approach we take with the public unifies in Truth and we, as healers, must be real with ourselves that our truth needs further attention and definition. To begin, we can look within to find that our statements may not be supporting each other and that we may be steering clients away from the exploration of the alternative healing industry.  Coming together to speak a common language in support of each other heals this competitive edge.  This begins with self-knowing and internal truth. Practitioners can deepen into their own understanding and develop ways of communicating with clients and other practitioners in a loving way. The authentic self, which is an internal inventory of self discovery, is a way to heal the competitive edge.  The authentic self knows no competition.

Uncovering Your Authentic Self as a Healer

No matter what you practice as a healing modality, your divine channel is unique and special.  It is your strengths that allow for your practice to flourish no matter who surrounds you.  Knowing yourself from the inside out and loving your special medicine as a healer can be one of the greatest stress reducers for your practice.  This knowing is what makes a healing practice successful.  Clients will return to a safe and loving practice without hesitation.
Knowing yourself takes practice.  Going inwards on a self-defining journey can be intense and does take time. In the end, you will reduce the amount of stress in your life and radiate love, the most powerful of attracting force in life. To unify productively we must know ourselves, strengths and weakness, and come to the healing table sharing ourselves without judgment.  From a grounded and secure place, we can share our inside perspective with ease and life flows with us.

Understanding the Client

One strategy emerging in the industry for meeting the needs of the client is called the Points of Care. This strategy is based on the observation that we must meet clients where they are and progress according to their personal cycle. The Points of Care model is not linear but circular, realizing that every layer of healing may cause the client to experience some or all of the points of care simultaneously, or in different areas of his/her life.
The Points of Care system enable the individual practitioner to successfully guide their clients in the appropriate direction that ensures their retention in an alternative or complimentary care program. Clients have several basic needs – the most important are that they need to be heard and validated.
The Points of Care identifies the public as any of the following categories: Define & Develop, Release, Awaken, Deepen and Connect. The Define & Develop category is an entry point for healing in any aspect of life. The Release category refers to clients who are involved with a regular schedule for centering and stress-relief. The Awaken category includes those who are opening with profound “Ah-ha” moments. Deepen indicates clients who are actively diving down into their internal darkness to find the light. The Connect state is a place of personal empowerment. There is even a pre-Define & Develop state, in the Points of Care, in which people are completely unaware that healing can occur.
The Points of Care, developed by Pamela G. Denton, D.C. and Sarah R. Kaczor, Reiki Master, is a system that brings clarity to the industry. It offers specific techniques, wording and approaches to each category of healing. It effectiveness in gaining new clients and client retention is demonstrated with the therapists working this system.

Unity Emerging

The bottom line is that, like Western Medicine, the demand for all aspects of our industry is high and continually getting higher. Working together as a unified front will develop the trust and integrity of our industry, as well as our own prosperity. The signs are evident that we are beginning to come together and communicate and this creates the foundation of a unified future. Individual practitioners are beginning to come together. We see the emergence of this community in many of the healing centers currently being founded and launched. It is inspiring that more and more community alternative health care centers and hospitals are appearing in some of the more progressive areas. These exciting developments indicate a more balanced, healthy and community-based future for our industry. Let us all begin to work in support of each other, knowing that the entire nation is our untapped market and tapping this market relieves financial stress for all in the alternative healing industry.

Points of Care is being presented to the industry by Seven Petals Wellness, Inc. with ongoing Points of Care clinics. Points of Care clinics are announced on their website (www.sevenpetalswellness.com) under the activities calendar.
